a) Matola Raid Museum (R600 perperson) : Interested guests are introduced to an in-depth history of Mozambique from the days of Portuguese colonialism, Mozambique’s independence, the civil war and how it ended with the signing of the Peace Accord in 1992. The tour also focuses on the life of South African freedom fighters in Mozambique and how their presence in this former Portuguese colony impacted negatively on the lives of ordinary Mozambicans.
b) Mafalala Walking Tour (R850 per person): Mafalala is a vibrant old township in the periphery of Maputo city. A local guide will take you through the urban culture and history of Lourenco Marques now Maputo city, A history shaped by ordinary citizens most of whom made their contribution for the liberation of Mozambique through poetry, literature art & crafts.
c) Walking Art and Architecture Tour(R750 per person): This is best way to appreciate the convergence of many architectural influences from local African artistic expressions, the Portuguese Art Deco as well as the British, Chinese, Dutch, Italian and Russian building styles.
